In general, the size of stainless steel manhole covers refers to the outer diameter. According to the relevant standards issued by the country, the outer diameter of the manhole cover is 100cm and the inner diameter is 80cm. If it is a standard-compliant product, it can be easily replaced and upgraded regardless of the material. According to relevant requirements, the small load-bearing standard for manhole covers is 20 tons, and commonly used are 20 tons, 30 tons, and 40 tons. In addition, we can produce up to 100 tons of manhole covers according to customer requirements.
It is worth noting that the bearing capacity of the manhole cover and the ability of the manhole cover to pass vehicles are not a concept.
The bearing capacity of a manhole cover means that a pressure test is performed to test the bearing capacity per unit area, which is usually 40 tons. If it is through a car, an axle heavy truck calculation formula: 5 axles × 40 tons = 200 tons, the total weight of this vehicle is 200 tons, which can ensure that heavy vehicles pass without damaging the manhole cover.
Some manufacturers have also made relevant instructions. If an 80-ton car is divided by 5 axles, the load of the manhole cover is 80t / 5 = 16t, which means that the load of the manhole cover is only 16 tons.
Pay attention to the following points when installing stainless steel manhole covers:
1. The size of underground sewage outlets varies from city to city. For example, some smaller roads have smaller sewage outlets, while some larger roads have wider sewage outlets. When installing the stainless steel manhole cover, you must measure the size of the sewage pipe in advance, and then choose different sizes of manhole cover according to the actual size to ensure the smooth installation. If the size of the selected manhole cover is different from the size of the sewer mouth, the installation will not continue.
2. Before installation, the builder should ensure that the height of the surface of the invisible manhole cover and the surrounding ground should not exceed 3 cm, otherwise the installation will cause an imbalance between the manhole cover and the ground. Once an imbalance occurs, this path will be significantly emphasized, increasing the possibility of theft. Theft is two types, because the manhole cover is too high, it will also cause inconvenience for pedestrians to walk or drive on the road.
3. To prevent the stainless steel manhole cover from moving for various reasons, at the end of the installation, the construction staff needs to use some concrete to press the edge of the hidden manhole cover. After the invisible manhole cover is fixed, the invisible manhole cover is not easy to move, causing some unnecessary trouble. At the same time, when installing the invisible manhole cover, the construction personnel must face the manhole cover upward. This is the correct installation procedure.
